Informed Consent

You have the right to keep your data, therapy and medical records CONFIDENTIAL at WHJ Online. WHJ will not disclose your records unless you provide us with a written consent (for specific reasons, e.g. insurance claim) or due to the circumstances stated below. We would like to provide you with a HIPPA compliant secure, private, non-judgemental and reliable environment.

1) Under legal conditions.

2) In case you are a threat to yourself, others or property.

3) In case you are in danger and/or are planning to commit suicide. Please note that planning to commit suicide is different from thinking about suicide (suicidal ideation). Discuss this with your therapist so they are better able to uphold the non-disclosure agreement.

4) Upon discussion, records may be disclosed with parents of children under 18 years old.

Please be informed that your mental health professional is ethically and legally obliged to keep your records safe. Discuss openly with your mental health professional to explore different ways to improve your mental health. Our capacity does not include forensic and legal matters. Nonetheless, WHJ Online will refer a competent professional to you.

Client Information Agreement

We send your details to the mental health professional who would be in charge of you. You can withdraw from your treatment plan at any given point in time or change your treatment plan/mental health professional. You will require a computer or smartphone with an active internet connection for your therapy. Additionally, for video consultation, you will need a camera & microphone, a comfortable and quiet place, and would be expected to be sober. Feel free to lie down or sit. Headphones are optional.

Let us know if you require HIPPA compliance and visit the virtual clinic. Your treatment plan is based on an initial assessment and subsequent therapy sessions.

Step 1: Email or WhatsApp to inquire or book an appointment directly.

Step 2: Read the Informed Consent. You agree to the terms and conditions by continuing to use WHJ Online and the services of its associates.

Step 3: Gather the courage and write or talk about what is making you uncomfortable. It indeed takes a lot of strength to ask for help. It is free to chat with a professional, intern, or volunteer.

Step 4: Discuss your presenting problem(s) and additional details you think are important for your mental health professional to know. Your verbal consent will be taken so that we know you are committed and can help you further. You can withdraw your consent at any time. Fill this form only if it is recommended by your mental health professional.

Step 5: Discuss the finances, commitments, and time required for the recommended sessions. You will be recommended weekly, biweekly, monthly and/or free chat-based sessions depending on your presenting problem(s).

Step 6: Inform us about how you would like to pay; card or bank transfer. Make the payment in advance. Let your therapist know if you would like to pre-arrange bulk sessions or pay per session.

Step 7: Get the link to your ONLINE session.

Step 8: Discuss your mental health and the treatment plan in detail with your therapist.

Step 9: Show up regularly for your sessions to prevent setbacks in your treatment and well-being. Discuss your concerns about therapy with your therapist. Don’t hold yourself back and trust the process. We use a YOU-centered approach so tell your therapist what works and does not work for you.

Step 10: Make time for your internal research and give your feedback to your therapist.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that there may be many reasons for you to miss an appointment. In case you do not turn up for a session, there may be a setback in your treatment plan. There are no cancellation charges. You can reschedule your session at any time if you made an advance payment. However, it is polite to inform your therapist in advance if you will miss your appointment. Remember that the therapist can refuse to take a client in case the client misses multiple sessions.

Privacy Policy

WHJ Online assures you complete confidentiality to keep your data safe through administrative, technical, and physical security. We collect your details for your mental health professional to be able to better assess and treat psychological distress. Continuing to use our administration and other services, and affiliations is counted as direct consent. Collecting your data is the first step toward creating a supportive, effective, and sustainable treatment plan. We do not sell your data.

We are ethically and legally bound to disclose your data only under the circumstances listed in the Industry Regulated Disclosure Agreement. We are ethically obliged to keep your data and additional records confidential post the completion of your therapeutic journey. The professional in charge of a client is legally and ethically permitted to choose to not disclose client data. The data is kept on a password-protected external hard drive to maintain optimal security.

Psychometric assessments, workshop resources, clinical reports, conversational sessions, and other purchases made via WHJ Online administration services are the responsibilities of the purchaser and cannot be held against WHJ and its partners or connecting psychologists/therapists/professionals under any circumstances. Cookies collected on WHJ Online do not store your personal information.
